Alexander, who was previously known as Alexandra before his transition in the 17th century, joined a 'convent' to runaway from his parents because they were planning and marry him off to an older suitor that he knew would become abusive to him and without a doubt become abusive to any future children they would've had.But when he was finally able to run away, he hadn't realized he'd mistaken the term 'coven' for 'convent', and had instead joined a coven that was solely comprised of female vampires, instead of a nunnery.By the time he had realized his mistake and tried to flee again, it was much too late for him to escape this time around, forcing him to accept his new life as an ungodly creature of the night: a vampire.While one would think Alexander would've found solace in the fact that the coven was for women only, he found them to be extremely cruel and heartless in not only their hunts, but also in their treatment of newer members of the coven.
